At IIYW we value the unique and varied skill sets and contributions made to our
work through volunteers and we aim to provide a constructive experience to our volunteers
during their time with us!
NGOs like the IIYW have limited budgets to their disposal and in order to reach
our full potential we depend on people like you, who are willing to
offer their time and skills to the greater good without asking for financial remuneration.
Volunteering will increase your wellbeing by knowing you have done
something worthwhile, whilst giving your career a boost through
gaining unique experiences and developing new skills, giving your CV the all important
edge to set it apart from the masses. At the same time, volunteering is a lot of
fun and gives you the chance to socialise with likeminded people.
The IIYW works in the areas of children's rights, community development, environment,
health, and rural development. Check out our project
information for more details. There is also scope for research
projects in the areas of 'rural development with a focus on farming', 'tribal development',
and 'sanitation (urban/rural)'. We encourage volunteering periods from between 6
months and 2 years in order to establish meaningful working relationships for the
mutual benefit of the organisation and the volunteers.
Please send a short email to firstname.lastname@example.org, detailing
how you would like to help and some facts about yourself, as well as your attached
CV, so that we can find the best place for you in our organisation!
Thank you for your help!
